Innovative curricular, instructional, and assessment implementation in urban charter schools.

Description

The purpose of the study is to examine whether or not innovative curricular, instructional, and assessment practices have been implemented in urban charter schools. This investigation stems from the goal in many charter school policies that charter schools are designed to serve as laboratories of innovation. However, little evidence exists to indicate whether this goal has been realized. In addition, few qualitative studies have been identified in the literature concerning these innovative practices in urban charter schools.
