Evolutionary dynamics of Chlamydia trachomatis.

Description

The Chlamydiales are a unique order of bacteria characterized by an obligate intracellular nature and biphasic developmental cycle. They are remarkably successful pathogens having achieved a diverse host range and global distribution. The focus of this work is to gain a better understanding of the relationships among the serovars of Chlamydia trachomatis through evolutionary analysis.
