American Corners in Thailand are
one-stop centers for information and culture from the United
States. They are partnerships between the U.S. Embassy in Thailand
and host institutions.Located in the main libraries of Chiang
Mai University, Khon Kaen University, Prince of Songkla University,
Pattani campus, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University, and
Yala Rajabhat University, the Corners aim to foster mutual understanding
between Thailand and the United States through a variety of
means including satellite programs, digital video conferences,
hi-speed Internet access, book and multimedia collections; and
to stimulate dialogue with individual citizens, groups, institutions
and the media through local information and cultural activities.

AC Open House
November 13-15, 2012 The AC
Chiang Mai organized an Open House session to showcase the
American Corner at Chiang Mai University Library.
About 230 students participated at five sessions orientation.
The program was characterized by introducing AC resources
& services and the trivia games focus on U.S. history
and culture. The trivia games leaded by American Corner
volunteers.

English Conversation Program
The American Corner organized English Conversation Program in cooperation with The Information Resource Center (IRC) of the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok supporting the discussion leader. The program purposes to planning program and activities in 2013.
